#445 - Garchomp (Reznor)

Along with Shenron, Reznor was Dark's powerhouse Pokemon in the Sinnoh region. She caught him as a Gible after she and Shenron rescued him from being eaten by a rogue Drapion.

He was initially abandoned by his first trainer, as he didn't have the patience to raise a Dragon-type, and left him in the cave to fend for himself. Though grateful to Dark for rescuing him, his previous trainer had planted seeds of mistrust in his heart; so he remained distant towards her as a Gible, then a Gabite, and eventually into a Garchomp. Eventually, through patience, love and care, he finally warmed up to her before her final gym battle against Volkner.

Reznor now resides in Dark's family estate in the Unova region, and acts as sort of a "backup" for Shenron should any of Dark's much larger Pokemon get out of line. He's had to do this twice, as Circe, a Hydreigon that Dark caught as a Deino was violently feuding with her female Haxorus, Falchion. The two never got along with each other, and due to Falchion's aggression against other female dragon types, and Circe's highly destructive nature, he steps in to quell the fighting.

Reznor is much stronger than Circe, even though she was powerful in her own right, so he took it upon himself to keep her in check, and to keep her from fighting with Falchion. His displays of dominance over her and impressive physique got to Circe in a manner that she became attracted to him.

This eventually lead him into becoming her mate. Even though he shows some displays of affection towards her, he mostly becomes her partner to keep her in check. An impromptu encounter between them one night resulted in her laying a single egg, which hatched into the baby female Deino, whom Dark named Necira.

Personality wise, Reznor, like any Dragon-type Pokemon, displays a sense of pride, and won't back down from a fight if he's challenged, even by his own mate. He trusts his trainer, but remains cynical and distant towards other humans. He gets along well enough with Dark's other Pokemon, but he spends most of his time watching Circe, and raising their daughter in hopes that she doesn't become so violent-prone as her mother.
